Case Study:
The Post Apartments
Services: Integrated Property Technology Platform | Managed Internet, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Network Design & Infrastructure
Market Sector: Multi-Tenant Residential
Building: 1 building / 72 Units
System Design: On‑premises, no recurring licensing fees
Project Summary
Working with VIP Development, DPS designed and implemented a complete, integrated technology platform for The Post Apartments, a 73,000 SF, 72‑unit multi-tenant residential renovation. As part of the property’s adaptive-reuse renovation, the owner required a partner capable of delivering managed tenant internet, on-premises access control, and a unified camera system, all engineered to work together as a single, cohesive solution.
With no existing infrastructure in the future residential space and the building undergoing a full gut renovation, DPS engaged early in the design phase, collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams to plan the network backbone, equipment locations, and building-wide WiFi coverage. The platform is engineered for reliability, low operational overhead, and predictable long‑term ownership costs, with all systems running on-premises and without recurring cloud licensing fees.
This large-scale deployment; which includes 72 apartments, 76 wireless access points, 19 controlled doors, and 12 surveillance cameras is currently underway, with completion anticipated in Spring 2026. Once operational, the property will benefit from a single management interface, integrated building systems, and a technology foundation that is both scalable and cost-efficient for future expansion.
