Client: VIP Development Associates
Market Sector: Class A Office/Medical Office
Building: 1 building / X Tenants
Project Summary
At 1304 Buckley Road, Digital Putty Systems delivered a cost-effective modernization of a critical access control system for a commercial medical facility with an aging, unsupported platform that was more than 20 years old. The existing system suffered from failing hardware and unreliable configuration management, yet much of the underlying infrastructure, including cabling, power supplies and battery backups, fobs and readers, and door hardware remained functional. By carefully evaluating and reusing these components, DPS replaced the failing system with a modern, secure, and remotely managed access control platform.
The result is a system that delivers the usability and flexibility of a cloud-based solution with the cost predictability, ownership control, and security of an on-premises deployment. This targeted retrofit avoided unnecessary replacement, focused investment only where failures existed, and was installed without disruption. The solution was delivered at roughly two-thirds the cost of competing proposals, with no ongoing licensing fees.
